Crisis and Disaster Management Specialist

Dr Hamish Mclean is a Senior Lectuer in the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Science at Griffith University. Hamish has 30 years’ professional experience in crisis communication, reputation management and issues management. He operated a crisis and media consultancy for more than a decade with international clients in the education, health, aviation, law and allied sectors. He has a background in emergency management, journalism and police media. His most recent international project was crisis leadership for the Ministry of Health in Mongolia. Hamish has a PhD in crisis management and his research is published in leading journals worldwide. For more than 20 years Hamish has conducted crisis leadership workshops for sectors ranging from education to defence.
