Dr Sarojni Choy is an Associate Professor of Professional, Continuing and Vocational Education at the Griffith University. Sarojni’s roles as an active researcher, project manager and policy officer within the Australian vocational education system formed a sound basis for her expertise in vocational education and training, workplace learning, employment based training, continuing education and training, and workforce capacity building. She continues to advance this through her teaching of graduate and post graduate courses, and supervising postgraduate student research in the School of Education and Professional Studies at Griffith University. Sarojni is currently assistant editor for the Vocations and Learning: Studies in Vocational and Professional Education journal (published by Springer), and co-editor of the monograph titled: Supporting learning across working life: Models, processes and practices, to be published by Springer.

Sarojni’s research draws on how adults learn to develop their knowledge, skills and attributes for productive work, and contribute to personal, social and economic outcomes. These topics are of interest and relevance to structural economic reforms currently impacting not only on the Australian economy, but also for the economies of most OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development) member nations, and have strong implications for practice-based learning in workplaces, training and development. Sarojni’s leadership in research is demonstrated by a record of successful activities comprising academic publications, securing research funding, editorship of international journals, and developing novice researchers.
