2017 Health and Physical Education Initial Teacher Education Summit Communique (3.6 MB)

Reflecting the broad range of subject matter that makes up the HPE learning area, the summit attracted a diverse group of delegates from across the health, sport and education sectors. Among those present were ITE students, HPE teachers and HPE teacher educators, as well as representatives of state and national sporting organisations, relevant health agencies and education authorities like the Queensland College of Teachers and the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority.

2016 Digital Technologies Initial Teacher Education Summit Communique (1.5 MB)

The Summit brought together the top minds and key stakeholders in digital technologies and initial teacher education. Stimulated by exciting keynotes, interactive panel discussions, and exemplary case studies, more than 240 participants identified the digital technologies priorities, issues and challenges, co-constructed a shared the major challenges facing educators, government, and community, relating to numeracy learning and teaching, and Initial Teacher Education (ITE).

2015 Numeracy Initial Teacher Education Summit (958.6 KB)

The School of Education and Professional Studies, Griffith University, with the support of the Queensland Deans of Education and the Queensland College of Teachers (QCT), hosted the inaugural Queensland Numeracy Summit on 16th June 2015. The Summit brought together 235 key stakeholders to explore the major challenges facing educators, government, and community, relating to numeracy learning and teaching, and Initial Teacher Education.
